In this past block, our Third Grade explored various shelters and habitats from around the world. From the igloos of ice and snow in the north to the adobe huts of the desert south, we looked at the climate, geography and cultural aspects of many places. Beginning with prehistoric shelters and moving towards those that are still built today, we continued our quest of discovering what it means to live on the earth. Near the end of the block, each student designed and built a model shelter of their own. They worked extremely hard and created some magnificent masterpieces!
