Lantern Walk for All Students and Families: Friday, November 13

Lantern Walk—for All Students and Families
Friday, November 13 | 4:30 p.m. | At Da Vinci Waldorf School

As the days grow shorter, our school community gathers for one of our most cherished autumn traditions: the Lantern Walk. This year’s celebration will take place on our school grounds.

The Lantern Walk honors St. Martin of Tours, who shared his cloak with a beggar on a cold night. His act of compassion reminds us that even in the darkest season, we can bring warmth and light to others.

Families will gather around the fire for star cookies and cider before hearing the Martinmas story. Together, we’ll walk through the woods by lantern light, singing along the way, and conclude with a parting song from our faculty and staff.

A few reminders:

  • Dress warmly for an outdoor evening.
  • Students should remain with their families throughout the walk.
  • Please avoid lights brighter than tea lights so we can enjoy the gentle darkness together.
