Parents, Students and Faculty gathered together on Thursday morning for a brief assembly marking 100 years of Waldorf Education! We gathered in the back yard for an honorary moment. Our grade school students spoke the morning verse in German. Our teachers graced us with song.
On September 19, 2019, Waldorf education proudly marked its 100 year anniversary! The first Waldorf school was founded in Stuttgart, Germany in 1919. Today there are over 1,100 Waldorf schools and almost 2,000 Waldorf kindergartens in greater than 80 countries. There were worldwide celebrations all day on Thursday. These will continue throughout the year, culminating in the celebratory conference in Chicago in June.
