To mark the holiday season as a community, this year we will offer A Celebration of Light, Love and Hope.
This departure from the Christmas Pageant will give us an opportunity to involve the whole community in activities and celebration. All families and family members are welcome to join us for the celebration, which will be held after school (3:30) on Tuesday, December 19th.
Class celebrations will be held on Wednesday, followed by early dismissal for grades.
During the school day on Tuesday, students will decorate the school, dip candles, and craft ornaments and bird feeders. When families arrive we will trim the newly-planted evergreen, form a candle circle of light, place candles on the tree, sing carols, and enjoy a short play celebrating the season, presented by our grade schoolers. Each grades class will share a musical piece, as well. Warm beverages and treats will be served.
If your family has a celebration that might be incorporated into this event, please feel welcome to present it.
Details about the event will be shared closer to the event date.
If you have questions about this change or would like to be part of the creation, please contact Kristine Fiskum.
