Da Vinci Waldorf School is thrilled to announce Anita Zagraniczny as our new Director of Development. After being a part of our community for several years (she is mom to one of our second graders), and thoroughly inspired by Waldorf organizational culture expert John Bloom, Anita identified the need for a dedicated development program for our school. To meet that need, she provided the board with a proposal outlining necessary steps toward building a foundation for continued growth of our school and the community that it serves. She has graciously agreed to a three-year commitment to bringing this plan to fruition. We are humbled by and grateful for this substantial donation of her time and effort.
As Director of Development, Anita will assume leadership of our continued effort to ensure long-term financial success for the school. She will take on the responsibility of fostering and expanding relationships with prospective donors, both within our school and outside our community. Specifically, one of Anita’s first tasks will be to spearhead an outreach effort focusing on local businesses and community leaders, geared toward generating support for Da Vinci Waldorf School and its long-term goals.
Anita’s professional experience includes positions in both public and private sectors. Her areas of professional expertise are in program development and evaluation and operations management. Anita holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English from Northwestern University. As a lifelong learner, Anita is currently pursuing completion of license requirements to become a CPA. She feels honored to be joining the Da Vinci Waldorf School staff and looks forward to championing our inspiring and important mission.
Anita can be reached by phone at (847)533-2350 or by email at
