A Thankful Visit to the Wauconda Fire Department

Some of our Early Childhood students visited the Wauconda Fire Department last week where they delivered Kindergarten Soup, chips, and handmade thank you cards—thanking the firemen for the prompt response to our recent fire alarm.

The children couldn't get enough of the tour, and had so many questions about the trucks and equipment and what it’s like to be a fireman.  Devin Mueller (Red Shift Battalion Chief - and a lifelong Wauconda resident) and Patrick Kane (Deputy Chief) where extremely gracious with their time and very warm and welcoming.

The children enjoyed showing how we cherish our place within the community and honor those who serve us and our neighbors!
