Second and third graders tried their hands at using chopsticks, in Mandarin of course.
The class began its homesteading block by weaving potholders and a rag rug, making bread, butter, jam, and cheese, dipping candles, and making soap. Learning to make necessities and beautiful things brings one closer to nature and the sources of our sustenance and joy, not to mention teaching us how to be practical and good stewards of our resources.
