The Da Vinci Waldorf School Kindermarket is a magical holiday event – fun for all ages! Children, parents, and even grandparents will enjoy hay rides, candle dipping, crafts, parent-merchants, children’s shopping, chair massages, and much more! Plus snacks, treats, warm refreshments, and live music.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES & CRAFTS

STORY TIME: Come and enjoy TWO wonderful, spirited stories from one of our beloved Waldorf teachers. LOVED by kids of all ages, and one of the favorite activities at this event!	CANDLE DIPPING: Dip, Drip, Dunk and Dry! Children create beeswax candles (with supervision by our 7th grade parents) by dipping wicks into heated containers of melted wax and a quick dip in cool water to harden when completed. Children 7 and younger need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, please.	OBSTACLE COURSE: Enjoyed by children of all ages – this will challenge your child’s balance and agility. Course-goers are guided and assisted by 2nd grade parents. Children 7 and younger need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, please.
LITTLE ELVES’ CRAFT SHOP: There are 3 wonderful activities for children of all ages. Orange-Clove Pomanders create an inviting citrus-spiced aroma that fills the whole house. Wood Bead Snowman Ornaments are so cute and lovely decorations for your tree. Lastly, children will learn how to make their own musical reindeer out of crafting sticks and jingle bells. We will have Elves assisting children with their crafting skills! So much fun in this Craft Shoppe! You don’t want to miss it out!	KINDERMARKET: Our Elves will help your child select and wrap lovely hand-made gifts for family members. You give your child a little bit to spend (gifts range between $1-$5). The children can then embark on their own shopping excursion in this NO-PARENTS-ALLOWED activity. Children get to experience the spirit of giving, and they love to surprise you!	HAY RIDES: Toot! Toot! All Aboard! The Holiday Jingle Rides are a must for children ages 2-12. Weather Permitting…we will have tractor hayrides on school grounds.

CHAIR MASSAGES BY NEERU:

Come relax and enjoy a 10-minute chair massage from one of our awesome DVWS parents! Neeru is a licensed massage therapist and ready and willing to help you relax into the holiday season. You can sign up for an appointment HERE. All proceeds will be going to the DVWS!

WINTER WONDERLAND

While kids are shopping, adults can relax and enjoy their friends and family, featuring Da Vinci Waldorf Parent Merchants sharing their talents and passion (Spoiler alert – such as a fresh chocolate straight from the Riverside Chocolate Factory!)

FOOD & DRINK

Rudi’s Snack Shoppe will serve delicious home-baked desserts, festive snacks & warm and cold refreshments!

ENTERTAINMENT

No celebration is a true event without some music! Our beloved music/orchestra teacher, Elizabeth English & our DVWS Board of Trustees Vice President Matt Myren et al. never cease to surprise us with their passion for music. Please stop in and enjoy some live music and smooth holiday jazz.
