Summer Camp Leaders offer Summer Camp Programming during the scheduled weeks of summer camp. Leaders will work with the Summer Camp Director and Administrative Team to deliver rich, engaging and holistic programs based on individual skills and capacities. Outstanding candidates prioritize the safety of all campers and ensure an excellent camp experience.
Summer Camps Schedule:
Monday – Thursday during weeks in June and July Mornings from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm OR Afternoons from 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm Full Day 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
Camp Leader Responsibilities:
Develop and present camp title, content and scope along with a proposed materials budget and space/equipment needs. Confirm ideal and alternated camp week and time. Work with the camp director to determine individual camp requirements, minimum and maximum attendees, and narrative description and bio for marketing materials. Cultivate safe practices and a healthy camp environment. Prepare a welcome letter and information to parents of campers to outline expectations for camp experience.
Expectations of All Employees:
Work collegially with coworkers. Treat them with courtesy and respect. Be willing to work through conflicts when they arise. Be a worthy representative of DVWS and Waldorf education, be punctual worthy of imitation.
Organizational Responsibilities:
Familiarizing oneself with the policies and procedures printed in the Parent Handbook as they would pertain to Summer Camp programming. Timely submission of paperwork. Submission of receipts for any supplies purchased on behalf of the program in a timely manner.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly pay rate for camp program delivery. Agreed upon pay rate and hours for preparation. Partial remission for camps during weeks of camp being taught.
