Inspiring Life-long Learning for 25 Years
This past Friday, the third grade held a Smoothie-and-Granola Fundraiser. The class is currently in a measurement block—with a focus on time, size, weight and amount. As both cooking and farming are also a major part of the third grade curriculum, the class decided to raise funds for a school in Ethiopia to assist them in having a farm-to-table lunch program. This project involved a great deal of arithmetic and organization on the part of the third graders. They made over 50 smoothies and cups of granola and raised about $150! It was a great success and the class is thankful to the students and teachers who participated.
