Inspiring Life-long Learning for 25 Years
6th, 7th & 8th Grade Happenings
The 6th, 7th and 8th grade students learned several fundamental constructions during our recent geometry block. We are not quite done with geometry this year, so it will move into a forty-minute period during the week. While in these shorter periods, the students will learn formulas for perimeter and area and begin to practice these new skills.
Upon our return from Thanksgiving break, we began our physiology block. Our study will include the digestive, circulatory, and respiratory systems, specifically studying the voluntary versus involuntary functions of the body and how the body's systems must all work in cooperation. As we investigate the body further, we will look more closely at how a balanced diet helps our body properly grow and function and how exercise affects our heart and lungs. By the end of the block, the students should have some knowledge of their "inside story" and how to take care of it!
