Meredith Boulet teaches music to middle school students.

On Tuesdays, we focus on general music lessons, instrumental music, and material that integrates with the middle school block unit. We continue to play and study recorders and learn to play ukuleles as well.

On Wednesdays, we have chorus class where we focus on the voice as an instrument. We begin with breathing exercises and vocal warmups. We sing songs in different languages and from many cultures. We sing in unison, in rounds, and in harmony parts. 

I have been teaching music to children since 1995 both in school settings, and private lessons. I offer private piano and voice lessons at Da Vinci Waldorf School.

I was introduced to Waldorf education through a former early childhood chair and Da Vinci parent. What I love most about Waldorf education and Da Vinci Waldorf School are the creative and dedicated teachers, friendly staff, and all of our wonderful students.

I am a youth camp counselor in the summer, and love the focus on outdoor education. I teach music outdoors whenever I can!

One thing I hope my students take away from their time at Da Vinci Waldorf School is that they can use their creative voices (musically or otherwise) to make positive change in the world.
