Carol Dallstream

Band & Orchestra Director

Carol Dallstream is the Band & Orchestra Director at Da Vinci Waldorf School.

In the past, I worked in Illinois public schools for 28 years as a band and orchestra director teaching all levels K thru 12th grade.

I also served as a middle school principal in an international school in Hungary. I was Nationally Board certified twice. I have two Master's degrees - one in Curriculum and Instruction and one in Educational Leadership.

I currently teach private string lessons and serve with an educational organization called SHARE that supports families serving overseas.

I love that Da Vinci Waldorf School’s curriculum is focused on teaching the whole child - mind, body, and spirit. And the chickens are pretty amazing, too! I hope students learn to be curious, to understand our world well and embrace other cultures.

In my free time, I love to flower garden, golf, read, swim, play my French Horn in the Arlington Heights Community Concert Band and The Orchard Symphony Orchestra and spend time with my 8 grandchildren!

I have been married to my best friend for 23 years. I have two daughters- one who owns and operates a children's circus in Grayslake and one who is a beautician.

The beach is my favorite place.

Living in Europe was one of the best things I have ever done. Ask me about it!
