Water’s Edge is starting a new fundraising drive.  We are excited to offer Equal Exchange: organic, fairly traded coffees, teas, chocolates, and healthy snacks! 

 Help us raise money to support our school programs. Our school earns 40% of each Equal Exchange sale!

 This easy and delicious fundraiser is sweet in more ways than one:  not only are you raising money for Water’s Edge, but Fair Trade also supports small-scale farmers worldwide.  Recent benefits of Fair Trade include micro loans for indigenous weavers in Guatemala, an ecotourism project in Nicaragua, new classrooms in El Salvador, and the use of organic farming practices.

 Today we are sending home a catalog and information to start taking orders.  Please help support Water’s Edge by contacting family, friends, neighbors and co-workers.

May 16, 2-6 p.m., Saturday, May Faire.  Pony rides, music, puppet shows and more!  Open to the public.

May 25, Monday, Memorial Day Parade begins at Wauconda High School at 10 a.m. (lineup is at 9 a.m.) Some students will be riding on the float and others will be walking the route with us and handing out flyers.  Let’s show Wauconda some of our school spirit!

Did You Know?

Every Thursday morning during the school year at Water’s Edge School there is a Bagel Breakfast!  This bountiful buffet of food donated by parents, family members, and friends of our school community is available every week.  This great event, put together by our PTO, helps raise additional funds for student field trips.  Please join us.  Better yet, bring a dish to share too!  Sometimes we even have a bit of music!

The school sends it’s thanks out to all the people who made generous donations for the auction, as well as all of those who attended!  Not only was it a terrific celebration of our 10-year anniversary, but the Auction Committee announced today that our fundraising goal for this year’s auction has been fullfilled!  Also – Congratulations to the Berry family, who were the Grand Prize winners of the Hawaiian Vacation!

Most of all – thank you to our Auction Committee and all the volunteers who helped pull everything together to make this event happen.  All of this couldn’t have happened without you!

Saturday is the night for our yearly auction!  We’ll be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Water’s Edge School, and it looks like it’s going to be a fun-filled evening with lots of wonderful items to bid on.  Terrific food, music and dancing will add to a great time – hope to see everyone there!
